Tara W. Pimco
Founder, Hot Mess Studio
Tara W. Pimco is the founder of Hot Mess Studio, a premier salon brand recognized for its artistry in bridal beauty and luxury hair design. She began her career at 19 under the mentorship of Albie Mulcahy at The John Sahag Workshop on Madison Avenue, where she became the youngest national educator and platform artist in the U.S. Her innovative dry cutting, color techniques, and bridal expertise quickly set her apart, building a devoted clientele in New York City and Monmouth County.
In 2009, Tara opened Hot Mess Studio in Asbury Park, growing it into a celebrated 6,000-square-foot salon, booking more than 200 weddings annually. In 2024, she transitioned the brand to Belmar, NJ, where she also founded the Belmar Chamber of Commerce.
Known for her unapologetic voice, community leadership, and signature brand of glam-meets-grit, Tara lives at the Jersey Shore with her husband Mike, their daughters Sofia and Koko, a cat named Louis Vuitton and a Pomeranian sidekick Mango. When she’s not growing businesses or throwing retreats, you’ll find her sharing stories, sipping wine, or planning her next big vision.
The Hot Hess legacy continues in Asbury park this spring at GLAM CAMP!
